Event Details
Join the British Chamber of Commerce Shanghai for our educational webinar on Wednesday, 18 November 2020. In this expert event we will explore what the short and long term future holds for Chinese students looking to study in the UK.
We have the honour to invite Freddie Winterbotham, Vice President at Holland Park Education China, Sherry Fu, Director at China Centre of the University of Manchester, Yasmin Sarwar, Chief Education Officer at Oxford International College and Dr. Mengmeng Wang-Purcell, Founder and CEO of CamVision Education Ltd.
Freddie, who co-runs Holland Park Education China, has rich experience in providing families with the highest quality international education solutions over 8 years. This time, Freddie will introduce the stage for students who prepare to move to the UK and some useful guidelines.
Yasmin joined Oxford International College as Chief Education Officer and developed an innovative "Strategic Global Pathways" curriculum, combines Academic Excellence, Career Preparation and Personal Development, which represents Yasmin's successful 'East and West' philosophy. In this webinar, Yasmin will talk about what measures private boarding schools like OIC have taken to support international students and if there is anything particular that international students need to take in account when applying to a boarding school in the UK during or post-pandemic.
Sherry Fu, as the founding director of the University of Manchester China Centre in Shanghai, will share about insights for studying in UK universities.
Dr. Mengmeng Wang-Purcell founded her own company after graduating with a BA MEng and PhD in Engineering for Life Science, CamVision Education Ltd. CamVision is a fully integrated service provider which aims to bridge the gap between the UK and China's diverse education and technology sectors. Mengmeng is going to share her own personal experience about how she moved to the UK 16 years ago and what was her pathway progressing through boarding school, University and career.
