Event Details

Enter into March, we saw fewer COVID-19 local cases confirmed in China. President Xi made a speech at the end of February in Beijing to advance the work on coordinating the prevention & control of the coronavirus epidemic and economic & social development – a signal from the central government that economy restarting is in view.

While companies in China are gradually coming out of the epidemic, COVID-19 is widely spreading beyond China and all countries are being impacted. The virus is now causing the global economy considerable harm, and financial markets are showing an increasing sense of panic.

Under this circumstance, the British Chamber Shanghai welcomes back Kent Kedl, Partner and Head of Greater China and North Asia at Control Risks, to deliver another webinar focusing on business recovery in the new phase.

Kent's presentation will cover the following:

  • Brief update of the latest COVID-19 situation in China and the rest of the world
  • The new challenges faced by enterprises when COVID-19 is becoming a global issue
  • How the outbreak has changed people's behaviour pattern and the business ecosystem in China
  • How to structure an end-to-end recovery process from strategy development to programme implementation to shape business operations and opportunities at a transformed market

This webinar will be chaired by Head of the Chamber, James Dunn.
