How much do you really understand about sanctions? What they are, what enforcement looks like and all the legal language that goes with them like "secondary sanctions", "material assistance" and who exactly are OFAC and BIS?
The British Chamber of Commerce Shanghai has the honour to invite Nicholas Lum (ๆๅฅ่ฏ), Partner of Clyde & Co to talk about legal terms and basics of international sanction.
In an event moderated by Rebecca Lee, Co-Chair of the Legal & Compliance Committee, Nicholas Lum, a partner in Clyde & Co's international trade practice, will provide an overview of the key legal terms and basic takeaways for business around international sanctions to help non-lawyers understand how to do good business in an increasingly complex international environment.
Join us on Tuesday, 17 November to learn more about the legal terms and obligations around global sanctions in the context of a broad overview of doing business in an increasingly complex environment and better understanding of what it can mean for business when a country sanctions entities or individuals!
