Event Details

Environmental, Social and Governance also known as ESG are the categories known to identify socially responsible companies. Traditionally ESG was used as a metric for investors to identify how "green friendly" a company is. Today ESG is moving towards any and every company being socially responsible and young people are a driving force for this change. Are companies ready for this and how can young people be sure they are choosing a socially responsible leader in their sector.

Young people are looking for their work to make a positive impact in any field. For businesses to attract the best young talent they need to have authentic connections with sustainable and global literacy and competency. On the part of recent graduates, they also need to find universities and even pre-tertiary education that offers and honors the very best of ESG so they can start their career and make meaningful change.

A graduate degree often isn't enough to lead towards your dream job, but an advantage of being sustainably and globally savvy could make an impact. There are many sustainability-specific roles opening up, but more importantly, every role needs a sustainability lens.

This session is designed for high-school students, university graduates and young professionals to share their knowledge, passion and skills on sustainable and global literacy, while business and industry can learn from this and also share what they are doing in the sustainability and global literacy space. The exchange as an open discussion during the session should bring a greater awareness of current and future employees and employers, and encourage their approach and actions on sustainability, global citizenship and ESG. The key is collaboration for mutual benefit and maximum impact!
