Key takeaways:

· Learn how to use The Contextual Influencing Model

· Formulate strategies for influencing senior leaders

· Develop multiple approaches for influencing

· Build daily habits for long-term influence

HR and L&D Professionals play a key role in supporting stakeholders to drive business performance.

But often, the barriers to performance are the stakeholders themselves!

Being able to influence these stakeholders can help us to:

·        Remove bottlenecks

·        Get different functions to work together

·        Gain buy-in for essential changes

The more we are able to influence these stakeholders, the more value we can create for our organisations.

But a challenging thing about influence is that it's contextual. In other words, our influence is always changing.

Whatever influence you have at work, it can change in an instant. For example:

•        Our relationships with others change

•        Influential individuals we leverage to get support may leave

•        Other people get promoted and we no longer have authority to influence them

So in this workshop, Jamie Dixon will share with you The Contextual Influencing Model, to help HR Professionals better influence stakeholders.

The Contextual Influencing Model helps you analyse the context you are in, set realistic goals, and identify factors in your favour that you can leverage to influence others.

Contextual Influencing helps you become a much more pragmatic, and therefore effective, influencer.
