PwC professionals will present the latest COVID-19 immigration updates including special channel for re-entry to China and potential double taxation considerations for inbound/outbound expatriates. The speakers will also provide an overview of China Permanent Residence (PR) issues for foreign nationals living in China. This topic will cover various aspects including main benefits of obtaining "Chinese Green Card", applicant eligibility and China Individual Income Tax implications after being a China PR.

    Gertie Chen is a Partner within PricewaterhouseCoopers Shanghai Office, specialising in global mobility, individual income tax and related HR services.

    She has nearly 20 years consulting experience and has advised many multinational companies and domestic companies on global mobility policy for different type of assignment, remuneration approach as well as the mobility process and assignment management.  She also helps companies and executives to develop tax-efficient remuneration strategies, long term incentive program and employment/deployment structure.  Her clients cover the auto, technology, banking, energy, logistics, manufacturing, consumer product, retail and telecommunication sectors.

    She is a regular speaker in public seminars and workshops.

    Gertie obtained Business Administration degree with honours from South Bank University, London. She is also certified as Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) by the Society for Human Resource Management in the USA.
