BritCham Shanghai's Legal & Regulatory Committee is pleased to invite you to an event focused on discussing the new PRC Company Law.

Effective from July 1, 2024, the new PRC Company Law introduces several significant changes, particularly in the areas of corporate governance and the enhanced responsibilities and liabilities of company bodies. A key change is the requirement for many limited liability companies, including foreign-invested companies, to have employee representatives on the Supervisory Board or Board of Directors. What are the key changes in these areas? How should employee representatives be elected? What do companies need to pay special attention to?

During the event, corporate and labour law experts from CMS, China, will provide a keynote address, offering an overview of the key issues and sharing their insights.

Following the keynote, a panel of legal experts and corporate professionals will discuss the impact of the new laws on foreign-invested companies, drawing on real-world case studies since the law's enactment. Other topics, including the establishment of audit committees, the role of legal representatives, and ESG-related issues such as stakeholder interests and environmental protection, will also be covered.
